About the Webmaster & AMVETS site

The AMVETS Post #49 webmaster is Rob Green, a Post member and web designer by trade (www.CutterAgent.com).

This website is designed to be simple and easy to maintain. Pages were built in Adobe Dreamweaver CS3, and use Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and Server Side Includes (SSI) to minimize file sizes and page loading times.

Feel free to duplicate this site for your AMVETS Post; just contact me using the form above if you need help. All text on this site can easily be changed to your specifications, and the graphics/fonts/backgrounds are also easily changable by someone with basic web skills.

Features of the site include:

• All coding in html - no need to learn or use .PHP or .ASP5
• User form fields (subject, form fields, recipient e-mail, etc.) can be added/edited right in the .html page where it appears.
• All repeating sections (header, footer, and side navigation bar) are contained in their own pages, and are included with a Server Side Include (SSI) command. So updates automatically appear on your site without having to re-upload ALL pages.
• A separate print.css stylesheet makes every printed page show only the pertinent info for that page - no banner, menu, etc. So an instant print-friendly view!
